Why doesn’t anyone ever make grape pie recipes? It’s sweet and sticky and tastes like a pie full of soft succulent and tart grapes where the skins, they fall away like creamy soft buttery leaves.
The pie takes a long time to cook and reduce down the grapes and that’s probably why people don’t make it but somehow after tasting it, you wonder why grape pie hasn’t been frequenting your dessert table more often.
It’s harvest season in South Africa and grapes are fresh and cheap and while the wine is being harvested and made nearby, I’ll be eating my sweet darling pie in for an at home celebration.
